Liquid has been working with Japanese sports heritage brand Onitsuka Tiger and superstar DJ Eddie Halliwell in conjunction with ASOS.com to launch a competition that offers the chance to win a pair of limited edition trainers, designed by Eddie himself.
These Mexico 66 trainers are so limited that there have only been 5 pairs produced. One will be put up for a charity auction – but there are 4 signed pairs to give away!
The grand prizewinner will not only win a pair of these highly exclusive trainers but also a fantastic holiday to jet off to Ibiza and watch Eddie in action, get all the VIP treatment and review the gig for ASOS.com as part of their ‘Summer of Sound’ activity
Eddie is regarded by many as the best DJ in the world - he has been named DJ of the year by Mixmag - and has DJed on Radio 1 with his famous Fire It Up catchphrase becoming known by millions of fans worldwide
Eddie is a self-confessed sneaker addict and almost exclusively wears Onitsuka Tiger trainers so it seemed only natural that they should collaborate. Onitsuka Tiger gave Eddie the chance to design his own Mexico 66 trainers (his favourite style) which he decided to base on the colour scheme of his famous ‘Fire It Up’ brand – orange, yellow and black.
Liquid wrote, filmed and produced a video to launch the competition (see it on YouTube here: www.youtube.com/watch?v=14L1DXyXpCk). Capturing the energy of Eddie’s live show and showcasing these exclusive trainers, it encourages fans to visit ASOS.com to enter the competition.
