ASICS’ FASHION FOOTWEAR BRAND ONITSUKA TIGER ASKED US TO WORK ON THE OPENING OF THEIR NEW LIVERPOOL STORE. FAMED FOR ITS DISTINCTIVE TIGER LOGO, WE CREATED A CAMPAIGN AROUND THE CONCEPT OF A ‘TIGER AT LARGE’ IN THE CITY.
Warning posters about the wild animal were displayed in key locations, on the side of taxis and on bus stops. We created an email campaign, cling stickers around the city and key Liverpool landmarks were dressed up in tiger stripes.
On the day of the launch a printed ‘survival guide’ featuring manga illustrations were handed out by a team of ‘tiger victims’ dressed in torn clothing.
Within the store we used ‘whispering windows’ which grabbed the attention of passers by with a loud tiger growl.
