This August it’s 10 years since Liquid moved back to Liverpool. Once a London-based concern with offices in Camden, the company owners Chris Mitchell and Steve McGauley decided to move back to Chris’s home town to have a better work/life balance.

Now an agency with 15 staff we started out with just two. From graphic design beginnings we’ve grown to include an integrated marketing service including four main areas: design, marketing, social media & PR and digital. With the first big contracts coming from Somerfield, Ben Sherman and Radley, Liquid we have developed a specialism in the retail sector, particular fashion and food & drink.

We’ve loved being in Liverpool and we’ve always been keen to make a contribution to the city. We’ve enjoyed being part of the economic and cultural life of the city by working with clients such as ACC to attract delegates from all over the world and National Museums Liverpool to encourage visitors during Capital of Culture year in 2008.

The agency has seen a great deal of change in the last 10 years that has affected the business, not least the explosion of social media and the current recession, but the company has remained responsive and dedicated to providing an excellent service. Current clients include national accounts such as Warburtons, Asics and Radley and Liverpool-based clients such as Liverpool ONE, Liverpool Hope University and Medicash.

We’ll be bringing you a series of blogs to celebrate our decade in Liverpool over the coming weeks.
